Effortless Standing as Foundation for Movement

Ancient Standing Practice is Wellspring of Benefits, Hidden in Plain Sight...

Approximately 50 years ago, my father (Morris) introduced me to the practice of Standing, which he learned in the Navy. With fondness and nostalgia, he spoke of standing with arms outstretched, parallel to the ground, while crumpling newspapers with his hands. Like his other teachings, it turned out to be a rare gem of wisdom! 


Standing eventually became the foundation of my deepest achievements—a gateway to more power, resilience, and transformation. Make no mistake, standing, in its many forms, is one of the most revered, secret, powerful practices of all time!


I thank my Dad for launching me into this realm so early. Eventually, I learned that standing is an ancient practice used by the most advanced practitioners of various movement arts. With guidance from significant teachers, I've been immersed in a long and winding journey, practicing and exploring open-mindedly, continually discovering, refining, and truly being humbled and awed by the depths of this sort of work.


Months before his passing about 25 years ago, Dad shared his satisfaction with my skill and approach to development in my domains of mind-body integration and performance, and he told me to keep on evolving, to keep pushing to see what's possible.... I have and I am ... 


In Dad's honor, I offer you The MORRIS WELLNESS CENTER. If you have been searching for an elite-level path, that paradoxically is suited to anyone, YOU HAVE FOUND THE REAL THING THIS TIME!  


Unless you have heard of it before, you might wonder how a simple practice is so powerful. Essentially, doing standing, properly, transforms your way of being and functioning, from the inside out. 


Have you noticed, for example, that some athletes move effortlessly, yet with unbelievable power and skill. They are qualitatively superior to others, often with no close second. Typically, they gained their edge from teachers-coaches employing these “secret in plain sight” practices, resulting in radically more effective and efficient human performance and a unique ability to "pull energy out of nowhere" with seemingly no exertion.


Many teachers or even "masters" dismiss this as magical thinking, impossible, or worse. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is REAL, demonstrable, and grounded in simple science: connective tissues, body unity, gravity, bio-tensegrity, compounding forces, single-pointed focus —and on and on.


This approach remains rare and nearly extinct for several reasons. First, it's challenging to find a teacher with the necessary experiential knowledge, as advancing to deep levels is uncommon. Progress demands a healthy obsession with 'millisecond-by-millisecond training,' embracing it as a way of life. 


Moreover, the breakthroughs are endless, meaning that one might feel they have arrived or attained mastery, and stagnate, while there is no end to the progress, with new depth, insights, and even qualitative level jumps continuing seemingly infinitely. 


And then, unfortunately, the most highly skilled are often focused more on their training than teaching, yet without a skilled teacher, gaining these abilities is incredibly unlikely because learning requires a devoted teacher with deep skill. The supply of teachers and students is rare....


For the above reasons, and more, after decades on “the path”, and after endless development cycles and robust internal, and external, benefits, at this time I look to pass this on to interested, dedicated seekers.
